1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the nu:legal platform and all related services provided by nu:legal GmbH. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the platform.
2. Services
nu:legal provides AI-powered legal document generation, review, and advisory tools for businesses, legal professionals, and individuals. Our services are designed to assist with legal workflows and are not a substitute for qualified legal counsel. The availability and scope of features may vary depending on your subscription plan.
3. Registration & Account
To use our services, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Pricing & Payment
Subscription fees are displayed on our pricing page and are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are quoted in euros and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of your access to the platform.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, software, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with the nu:legal platform remain the exclusive property of nu:legal GmbH. You retain ownership of any data and documents you create using our tools. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without prior written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
nu:legal GmbH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
7. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 8. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by providing written notice. Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked and your data will be handled in accordance with our data retention policy. Any outstanding fees incurred prior to termination remain payable.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be Berlin, Germany. The application of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.
